While the pandemic continued to impact our lives throughout 2021, the global climate crisis came centre stage with the starkest warning issued yet by the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change).
In a year that culminated in a pivotal COP26 meeting in November, Avon Pension Fund has continued to play its role in the fight against climate change through its investment practices and its engagement with those companies we hold equity in.
This report outlines the work we’ve done to effect positive change in the wider financial industry. In total we engaged with 640 companies on 2,603 environmental, social, governance, strategy, risk and communications issues and objectives.
