Avon Pension Fund

Welcome to the Avon Pension Fund website. The Fund operates the Local Government Pension Scheme and this site provides information on the work undertaken by the pensions department and the services we offer.

The information on the Avon Pension Fund website relates to the current LGPS Regulations 1997. New LGPS Regulations will come into effect on 1 April 2008. We are currently in the process of updating the Avon Pension Fund website in line with the new Regulations. You must not make any decisions about retiring, or your future pension provision, without contacting us first (see the 'Contact Us' link). Further information about the LGPS and the forthcoming changes can be found at www.lgps.org.uk

Staff Presentations on Changes to the Pension Scheme

Avon Pension Fund will be giving workplace presentations to groups of 20 or more staff during February and March about the changes coming into the pension scheme on 1 April 2008.

*If you work for a small Scheme Employer (i.e. less than 20 staff), or in an outlying office, school or depot of a larger Scheme Employer, and a presentation is not being held in your workplace, then it may be possible for you to make an arrangement to attend a presentation being held at a nearby venue belonging to a different employer than your own, if space permits.
