The Avon Pension Fund is pleased to publish its latest Responsible Investment Annual Report.
The report details the activities undertaken during 2022 by the Fund, our managers and our partners to deliver and support our Responsible Investing Policy.
This year’s report serves to update stakeholders on the progress we have made against our climate objectives. This report offers insight into the structural challenges climate-aware investors face and provides details of the Fund’s focus over the coming year as we seek to deliver on our financial and environmental, social and governance (ESG) obligations.
The Avon Pension Fund has also published it's annual Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) Report for 2022.
About the TCFD
The Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) was established by the Financial Stability Board (FSB), a body set-up by the G20 to monitor and make recommendations about the global financial system. Following a review into how the financial sector can take account of climate-related issues and the need for better information to support informed investment, in December 2015 the TCFD was created.
2022 LAPF Investments Awards
Avon Pension Fund was shortlisted for the ‘Best Climate Change Strategy Award’ at the 2022 LAPF Investments Awards which were held on 15th December.
Although the City & County of Swansea Pension Fund were the eventual winners in this category, the Fund was pleased to be recognised by being shortlisted for the work undertaken to integrate climate into its liquidity and risk management strategies. The initiative builds on the Fund’s existing climate investment strategy, which demonstrates its commitment to achieving its decarbonisation targets.
About the LAPF Investments Awards
The LAPF Investments Awards, established in 2015, celebrate outstanding achievements within the LGPS (Local Government Pension Scheme). It is recognised as a mark of excellence in the field of LGPS pensions provision.
