Financial health
Our latest official check-in on 31 March 2026 confirmed that Avon Pension Fund is financially secure:
- Fund value: £6,168 million.
- Funding level: 109%.
The Fund is well placed to meet its future pension commitments. Members' pensions are guaranteed by the LGPS and are not affected by investment performance. Changes to the funding level do not affect the contributions members pay.
Navigating change
Over the past year, we successfully managed a wide range of new regulatory updates while continuing to improve our services. A highlight came in November 2025, when we launched the upgraded My Pension Online to improve the security and usability of our members’ online pension accounts.
