The Investment Strategy Statement (ISS) sets out the framework governing the Fund’s investment approach in line with applicable Local Government Pension Scheme regulations and guidance. It reflects the Committee’s agreed investment strategy and is designed to operate effectively within current and future pooling arrangements, incorporating evolving regulatory and structural requirements.
The ISS outlines the Fund’s investment governance, beliefs, objectives and preferences, including its approach to local investment, risk management and responsible investment, and defines the strategic asset allocation.
It is aligned with the Funding Strategy Statement to ensure an integrated approach to meeting the Fund’s long‑term liabilities and regulatory duties. The strategy is subject to ongoing monitoring and periodic review, informed by professional advice and oversight by the Local Pension Board to ensure continued compliance and suitability.
