Confirmation of your LGPS membership
When you start paying pension contributions through your employer’s payroll, we will send you a welcome letter. This letter officially confirms your membership in the LGPS and invites you to complete enrolment with Avon Pension Fund.
Why enrolment is important
When you join the LGPS, it’s important you complete your enrolment to make sure you do not miss out on the following:
- access to your online pension account and the tools available to manage your pension journey.
- nomination of beneficiaries for your death in service benefits, providing financial protection for your family.
- the option to transfer your benefits from previous pension schemes. This must be done within 12 months of joining.
- choose how you would prefer to receive communications from the Fund.
