Meet the Team
Two of our pension board members talk about their experience of this important role.
I’m proud to be part of it. Pensions is an area of such high relevance to so many people.
I enjoy feeling that I have made a difference, and from a personal perspective becoming knowledgeable about a service I didn’t know in detail.
What’s the most challenging part of the role?
Jon: It can be technical but equally learning some of that is fun and interesting.
What support is on hand for individuals new to the role?
Helen: The chair of the Board and the officers. No matter how basic some of my questions may be, I always get a quick and helpful response. I do not feel on my own to tackle any issue.
What would you say to someone who is thinking about becoming an LPB member in the future?
Jon: Absolutely have a go. It’s a really interesting role working with something that really matters.
